Privacy Policy

This policy covers kathy-butler.com itself — the contact form, site analytics, and coaching-plan payments. It doesn't cover the Ready to Run or Run Foundations iPhone apps, which have their own privacy policies (linked from the App Store) since they handle on-device app data differently.

1. Information collected through the contact form

The contact form on this site is a Wufoo form, embedded directly from Wufoo's servers. When you submit it, the name, email, phone number (if you include one), and message you enter go straight to Wufoo and to Kathy — this site itself doesn't run its own server or database, so submissions aren't stored anywhere on kathy-butler.com. Wufoo's own privacy practices apply to how they handle that submission in transit; see Wufoo's privacy policy (Wufoo is a SurveyMonkey product).

This information is used only to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to set up and deliver coaching. It isn't sold, rented, or used for anything else.

2. Payments

Coaching plan payments are processed entirely by Stripe through Stripe's own hosted checkout pages. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's checkout, not into any form on this site — Kathy never sees or stores your card information. 3. Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used — things like pages viewed, approximate location (city/country level), device and browser type, and referring site. GA4 sets cookies (or similar browser storage) to do this. This data is aggregated and isn't used to identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies generally through your browser's privacy settings. Doing so won't affect your ability to browse the site or submit the contact form.

4. Third-party services this site relies on

Beyond Wufoo, Stripe, and Google Analytics above: this site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront), and once you're an active coaching client, training plans are delivered through Final Surge, which may sync with your Garmin, Apple Watch, or similar device. Each of these providers handles the data you share with them under their own privacy policy, not this one.

5. International visitors

This site is US-based, and information collected through it (via Wufoo, Stripe, and Google Analytics) is processed in the United States and other countries those providers operate in. If you're visiting from the UK, EU, or Australia — including via the regional coaching pages for those areas — your information may be transferred outside your home country as a result of using those same third-party services.

6. Your choices

You can ask what information Kathy holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by getting in touch. Because contact-form and payment data live with Wufoo and Stripe rather than on this site, some requests (like deleting a payment record) may need to go to those providers directly — Kathy will help point you the right way.

7. Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 through it. Coaching services themselves are intended for adults 18 and older — see the Coaching Disclaimer for the minors policy that applies to actual coaching participation.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
